Alaskan Klee Kai

This dog variety is lively and very much alert breed. He can adopt anywhere since he has a strong physiological tolerance. This dog will at all times defend his territory while at the same time he is very good when used as watchdogs. He has been said to be the smaller version of the Alaskan Husky even though he looks like the Siberian husky. He can weigh up to 10 pounds and comes in 3 different sizes that is the small size, medium and the standard.

Alaskan has many Alaskan husky and Siberian features meaning it also originated from where they came from. Moreover, they also look like the American Eskimos. Since they were developed in the 70s, they are very new as dog breed. The main reason why they were initially bred was to be companions of humans.

This dg is generally healthy but occasionally they can fall sick. The most common ailments that can affect them include the normal stomachaches, hip dysplasia, legg perthes and Parteller luxation. To ensure that they are moderately healthy you need to call a physician in case of anything so that they can be checked. When kept healthy their lifespan can even reach 14 years.

The appearance shows his Northern heritage. He comes in different colors red, white, black, grey, and white and variety of other colors.

Feeding :

The recommended food is 4 to 5 cups of high quality dog meat at least 2 times daily. The amount of food that any dog feeds on will depend on the size , metabolism and the weight. Since dogs are living things like humans, they do not feed on the same amount of food. Ensure that all the feeding materials are hygienic so that they may not contract any disease.
