Prazsky Krysarik

The Prazsky Krysarik is considered the smallest dog. It is known to be very cheerful, playful and can make what you can call ‘a family member’ because it bonds deep with the family members of the owner. The dog loves to be warm; it stays mostly in places that are warm. The breed is associated with the Czech Republic and Slovakia; for so many years the breed was only seen in these countries. The origin of the breed was Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The History of Prazsky Krysarik can be tracked back in the middle ages, when the dog became popular among the people of these countries. In the 1900 the Prazsky Krysarik was under threat, the breed started sinking and it was hinting at extinction. Efforts were made to help rescue the breed. In 1990 the Prazsky Krysarik was admitted into Prazsky Krysarik Club to assist in the breeding so as to save it.

  • Health :

The dog is prone to bone injuries that can be caused due to its small size. Other health conditions associated to the Krysariks are: Patellar luxation which is a problem associated with the small breed of dogs. To prevent a dentition problem during maturity, it is advisable to knock off the teeth at an earlier age. The breed is a healthy pet with an average health life span of 12 to 14 years.

The Prazsky Krysarik can easily socialize, but it is essential for you to train the pet in order to add up its socialization skills. With the training, the dog can get well along with the family. The dog is not a high energy dog, it keeps calm much of the time but it is also very playful at times.
